My Studio Time

Studio Time This Past Week

Watercolor, appliqué, EPP *English Paper Piecing, and a happy accident.  Live is good, Praise God.

I worked with a new palette  Prima-Tropical.  It has a lot of potential.  Working on a flower vase, fun and challenging.  The flowers seem to flow okay, the vase needs some work.

I added some texture to the vase, it still needs something....I'll keep working it.  I LOVE the gold dots added to some of the flowers and leaves.

This is going to be one of my all time favorite palettes....More of this one is in the future. This were unplanned pieces.  I let the paint blobs speak to me.  CeeCee Designs on Youtube is an amazing artist to watch and get inspiration from.

This was one large sheet painted with the Prima -tropical palette.  It was then cut up and placed into the slots of the cards.

These two are cards have been sent out.

This is a happy accident.  I hung it up on the door to make room on my design wall and the sun was shining through the window at the bottom.  The red felt from behind really makes this piece pop.  I now need to figure out how to make color part of the piece before I work on the thread play.  This project is one of the current "in progress" pieces.

I worked on my appliqué gi-normous quilt this week.  It is so close to being done.  The long border up on the design wall is the only total piece left to appliqué with a small part of the right side of the border to do yet.

Here is the top and bottom borders

And in all it's glory waiting to be quilted.

Oh yeah, I started an EPP project using Tula Pink Line Work line.  I love the fabric.  This pattern is the  Cherish quilt from Tales of Cloth

We enjoyed, or at least I enjoyed, a game of scrabble....609 points and used all letters 3 times!  Jerry also used all his letters once.  It is rare to use all my letters....I was so excited to use them once.  Imagine the excitement when I used them twice....and then a 3rd time!

I found, no Stubby found a new place to hang out instead of that Rosewood, Roseville, um Rose something antique flower pot she adopted.

We topped of the week with an amazing 1 mile walk.

I must confess I'm exhausted looking at all I've done this week in the Studio and realize that I am productive that my naps are a good thing.  AMEN.
